To make room for the acquisition of Jared Dillinger from the Meralco Bolts, Brgy.Ginebra relegated forward Julian Sargent to the unrestricted free agent list.
Sargent, who was acquired by the Gin Kings last year from the NorthPort Batang Pier in a one-on-one trade with Paolo Taha, has yet to see action for the crowd darlings due to a recurring shoulder injury.
The 6-foot-3 product of DLSU was the 16th overall pick in the 2017 PBA Rookie Draft and was immediately traded by the Magnolia Hotshots alongside fellow draftees Joseph Gabayni and Lervin Flores to the GlobalPort Batang Pier for Robbie Herndon, the 7th overall pick from the same draft class.
Sargent was performing well for the Batang Pier before the trade to Brgy. Ginebra came along.
Similar to what happened with Dillinger, any team can now sign up Sargent as long as he agrees to it.
