Alvin Pasaol along with Santi Santillan and 13 other rookie aspirants were invited by Brgy. Ginebra for individual workouts ahead of the 2021 rookie draft which is scheduled on March 14.
The 25-year old Pasaol, together with Santillan and other projected first and second rounders, were divided into bigs, wings and guards in workouts which started Monday.
Among the more familiar names in attendance were Jerrick Ahanmisi, Aljun Melecio, Andrei Caracut, Larry Muyang and Ben Adamos.
“Unfortunately, no contact drills, so we can’t put them in a scrimmage situation,” said Gin Kings head coach Tim Cone. “It’s more just like individual drills and training.”
All the invited players were required to undergo COVID-19 testing before working out.
Brgy. Ginebra owns the 12th overall pick in the first round and the 24th in the second.
The crowd darlings have been quiet so far in the off season with the re-signing of big man Greg Slaughter and the free agent acquisition of former Alaska guard MJ Ayaay as the squad’s only dealings.
