Brgy. Ginebra def NLEX, 104-94 [SF Game 2 | 2021 Govs’ Cup | March 25, 2022]

In less than 48 hours after their initial clash, Barangay Ginebra and NLEX will be back in the grind, slugging it out in the second game of their PBA Governors’ Cup best-of-five semifinals showdown at the MOA Arena Friday.

Both have key adjustments to make even with not much time at hand.

And so like in most playoff matches, they’re dealing with it mentally more than physically as they brace for Round 2 of their semis tussle.

Tipoff is at 3 p.m. with the Kings needing major tweaks in their schemes if Japeth Aguilar (with a calf injury) isn’t ready to play come game time.

Needless to say, the Road Warriors need to reorganize and recompose after their endgame collapse in their 95-86 loss in Game One Wednesday night.

“It’s important that we put up a better fight,” said NLEX skipper Kevin Alas.

Game One went down as a sorry loss for coach Yeng Guiao and his troops in a game where they had a promising start and led by as big as 16 only to fade away in the end, allowing the Kings to stretch their post-elims run to three games.
