TNT Tropang Giga takes the floor for the fourth time in eight nights Friday, tackling Barangay Ginebra with eyes set on back-to-back victories before shifting focus on duty with Gilas Pilipinas in the coming FIBA World Cup Asian qualifying first window.
Tip-off is at 6 p.m. with the Gin Kings out to check a two-game slide on their part.
Managing their energy, the wounded and weary Tropang Giga defied the odds and beat the San Miguel Beermen, 96-81, Wednesday.
The Gin Kings, meanwhile, came out flat from a long hiatus and went down to a 95-101 defeat at the hands of the Meralco Bolts Sunday.
The Tropang Giga hope to build on their 15-point triumph over the Beermen as they try to hit the .500 mark at 4-4.
Mikee Williams, who exploded for 30 points versus the Beermen, said they will continue to work hard together, hopeful good things would come out of it.
As big as Williams poured in, TNT coach Chot Reyes felt team effort keyed their triumph over the Beermen – their first in three games.
And the TNT bench chieftain believes they need to sustain their energy and effort in another tough match versus the Gin Kings.
