It’s all systems go for the PBA restart in Clark after the Inter-Agency Task Force gave the league bubble a provisional approval on Thursday.
Bases Conversion Development Authority president and CEO Vince Dizon made the announcement during a virtual presser together with league commissioner Willie Marcial, chairman Ricky Vargas and Clark Development Corp. president and CEO Noel Manankil.
“We’re happy and we’re ready to go,” said Vargas.
“It’s all now in the hands of our commissioner to see that this is executed to perfection,” he added.
Following the approval, the PBA sets out to send the teams to Clark in two batches on Sept. 28 and 29.
The squads had undergone swab testing Wednesday and Thursday ahead their of departure for Clark. Upon entry, protocols require them to get swabbed again and wait for their results at Quest Hotel.
Upon getting negative results, Marcial said the teams may start doing 5-on-5 scrimmages at the official training and games venue, Angeles University Foundation gym in nearby Angeles.
The league will then proceed with the resumption of the 2020 Philippine Cup on October 11.
