Jeff Chan out for possibly a month due to sprained ankle

Jeff Chan was unavailable for Brgy. Ginebra during its game against the Meralco Bolts last Sunday at the Smart Araneta Center.

The 36-year old gunner suffered a sprained right ankle during their previous game against the Blackwater Elite after landing on the foot of Blackwater big man James Sena.

Sena was called for a Flagrant Foul Penalty 2 and was subsequently thrown out of the game. He was meted a P20,000 fine but was spared of suspension.

Initial diagnosis of the injury showed that it may take around three weeks to a month to completely heal.

“Baka matagalan, masama kasi yung bagsak ng paa. Initial test pa lang naman yun. Titignan ulit by Wednesday,” said a sidelined Chan during their game against the Bolts.

Despite having a hard time walking, Chan still went to the game to support his team and it was worth it as the Gin Kings recovered from a bad first half to win pulling away 110-95.

The Gin Kings next take on the surging NorthPort Batang Pier on Saturday, June 1 at the MOA Arena in Pasay City.
