Stanley Pringle is the newest Kabarangay.
This development came after NorthPort agreed to send the 32-year old Fil-Am to Brgy. Ginebra for the trio of Sol Mercado, Jervy Cruz and Kevin Ferrer.
Pringle, thus, will end his five-year stint with the Mikee Romero-owned franchise which drafted him 1st overall in the 2014 Rookie Draft.
The five-time PBA All-Star has always been a strong candidate for the Best Player of the Conference for the past two years but his team’s failure to make it deep into the playoffs has derailed his chances of winning the award.
The 2018 scoring champion is currently sidelined after undergoing surgery during the off-season to remove bone spurs in his right ankle.
Mercado, for his part, will mark his 3rd stint with NorthPort while the duo of Ferrer and Cruz will be reunited with Pido Jarencio, their college mentor at the University of Sto. Tomas.
The trade has already been approved by the Commissioner’s Office and is already posted in the league website’s transaction page.
