Tim Cone on PBA bubble life: “We miss our Ginebra crowd, especially in big moments”

Brgy. Ginebra dropped its last 2 matches in the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup restart – 102-92 against Magnolia and 85-82 against Rain or Shine to go down to 4-2 after opening the compressed conference with 4 successive wins.

Gin Kings head coach Tim Cone admitted that the league’s most popular squad terribly missed their 6th man.

“We certainly miss our Ginebra crowd, especially in big moments. That was evident in the last two games,” said Cone during an interview with ESPN5.

When asked if the team would eventually adapt to life without the Ginebra faithful up in the stands, Cone replied: “I don’t know if we’ll ever totally adjust. We have adjusted a little.”

The PBA was forced to call off the games anew upon recommendation of the IATF and came up with a revised schedule after additional health protocols were put into place.

After the adjustment, the Gin Kings now have a grueling stretch of 5 games in 7 days, starting with the game against the Alaska Aces on Tuesday, November 3.

Up next will be the NorthPort Batang Pier on November 4, the TNT Tropang Giga on November 6, defending champion San Miguel on Sunday November 8, and Terra Firma Dyip on the 9th.

All the team’s matches will be the day’s main event.
