With Terrence Jones leading the way the TNT KaTropa carved out a 103-92 victory over Brgy. Ginebra Thursday to close out their PBA Commissioner’s Cup semifinals duel at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Jones wound up with 24 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists for his fifth triple-double of the conference and got plenty of help from the likes of Troy Rosario, Jayson Castro and Roger Pogoy.
Rosario had his own double-double of 22 points and 11 boards while Castro tossed in 20 and six rebounds and Pogoy 14 points as TNT wrapped up the best-of-five series 3-1.
Even Brian Heruela did his part, scoring, defending and hustling during a decisive 13-2 run that fully pulled them away from a 90-84 count and pegged the game’s biggest difference at 103-86, only 3:48 left.
The KaTropa now await the winner of the other semifinals pairing pitting San Miguel Beer and Rain or Shine.
